COVID vaccine and testing dates, times

The Louisiana Office of Public Health is offering COVID vaccinations and testing this week in New Iberia.

Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available for persons 5 years of age and older. This includes first dose, second dose, and booster shots.

Vaccines will be given by the Iberia Parish Health Unit, 715 Weldon St. in New Iberia, on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. — 3:30 p.m. Call 337-373-0021 or visit OPH4.timetap.com to set an appointment.

A parent or legal guardian must be present for vaccinations given to children ages 5-17. For booster doses, remember to bring your COVID vaccine card.

The Iberia Parish Health Unit will also be having drive-thru COVID-19 testing from 8 a.m. — 2 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

There is no cost for the testing. Patients are asked to wear a mask. An email address is required for obtaining test results.

Eligibility for testing includes being symptomatic for COVID-19 infection (mild symptoms, no medical evaluation available), close contact with someone known to have COVID-19, or if testing is required for travel.
