The Iberia Parish LSU AgCenter spent the morning Wednesday and Thursday with 3rd graders throughout Iberia Parish for a chance to educate them on agricultural awareness.

Thursday morning, 3rd graders from Canview, North Lewis, Magnolia, Johnston-Hopkins, Sugarland and Coteau elementary schools cycled through a variety of exhibits explaining various aspects of agriculture. Belle Place Middle School and Highland Baptist Christian School students were also part of the fun.

Educational displays included everything from water and soil to horses, sheep, goats and pigs. AgCenter educators were stationed at each of the displays to give a brief explanation of various aspects of agricultural life in Iberia Parish.
