The Iberia Parish School Board will consider adopting new amendments to the IPSB policy manual at Wednesday’s meeting.

The changes will include amendments to the tax and bond elections and sales policy, purchasing policy, sexual and gender harassment policy, recruitment policy, employment of personnel policy, employment of retired personnel policy, sick leave and maternity and adoptive leave policy, student assignment policy and student use of personal electronic devices policy. 

The board will also vote to approve the substantial completion of a renovation project to the Alternative Center of Education. The project was part of the list of 2013 bond issue projects and was performed by CDX Construction Inc.

In other business, the board will consider approved $45,318 for a state contract purchase Core Texts for Wit and Wisdom Curriculum, which will be used for first graders parishwide.

The board will also vote to approve the calendar year for the 2020 school year. 

The meeting takes place 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the IPSB’s administrative office on 1500 Jane St.
