ST. MARTINVILLE — A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Noon on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Jon Ross Colletti, 56, who passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville.  A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Rev. Austin Leger will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.

“I was given the gift of life and now I have to give it back.  This is hard, but my faith led me into a lucky existence, and for this I am grateful for my children, friends, family, and the love of my life.” 

Mr. Colletti was Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #1276 and was a 4th degree Knight in St. Martinville. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, doing carpentry work, gardening and yard work, and spending time camping. Mr. Colletti did fabrication work in the oil and gas industry. He was very outgoing and friendly to all, and he never met a stranger.  

He is survived by his unconditional loving fiancée, Belinda F. Romero; daughters Mandi Colletti and Shari Scott; son Beau Jon Colletti; stepson Travis Metzel; brothers Joey, Jay, and Jad Colletti; sisters Kim Ragan, Keri Brown, and Kris Saurd; stepmother, Joyce Weber; four grandchildren; three  stepgrandchildren; one grandchild on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Jerome Colletti Sr.; mother, Joyce Cunningham Colletti; paternal grandparents, Ross and Sarah Colletti; maternal grandparents, Ernest and Bessie Cunningham; and cousin Mike “Big Mike” Colletti.

Pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus.
