Funeral services will be held for Sheron A. Thibodeaux, 63, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home, 711 S. Corinne Street in New Iberia. Visitation will be observed from 8 a.m. until time of service. Reverend Francis L. Davis will officiate.

Interment will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Ms. Thibodeaux passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018, at 1:30 a.m. at Iberia Medical Center.

Ms. Thibodeaux enjoyed working with others and most of all spending time with her family. Her many jobs included being a receptionist at Iberia Parish Courthouse, a laundry attendant at Azalea Villa/Belle Teche Nursing Home and she worked as a server at Taco Bell until she became disabled.

She leaves to cherish her memory her companion of 18 years, Tony Joseph of New Iberia; three sons, Anthony Thibodeaux (Jennifer), Dominic Thibodeaux and Darnell Thibodeaux all of New Iberia; one daughter Jade Thibodeaux of New Iberia; three brothers Ervin Thibodeaux (Beverly), James Thibodeaux and Robert Thibodeaux Sr. (Adeline) all of New Iberia; one sister Leona Mae Whytus of Houston, Texas and Benita Lee of New Iberia;  13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ryheen Thibodeaux; her mother, Mercedes Thibodeaux; her father, James Thibodeaux; her sister, Wanna Wright; one nephew Levon Thibodeaux; and one special sister-in-law, Drusella Turner.

The active pallbearers will be Shannon Turner, Robert Thibodeaux Sr., Donald Fuselier, Kawaski Jenkins, Tyson Wilson and Javanta Knatt.

The honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Thibodeaux, Dominc Thibodeaux, Darnell Thibodeaux, Ervin Thibodeaux, James Thibodeaux Sr., Robert Thibodeaux Sr., Tony Joseph, Ronald Thompson, LeRoy Hatcherson Jr. and Donald Cobot.
