Funeral services will be held for Baby Jakaylen Portifield Robinson, 6 months, at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Broussard officiating.

He will await the resurrection at Saint Matthew Cemetery in New Iberia.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home until time of service.

He passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 10:50 a.m. at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Arthur Portifield Robinson Jr. and Leslie Etienne Robinson of New Iberia; maternal grandfather, Clifton Johnson Sr. of New Iberia; paternal grandmother, Lydia Robinson of Thibodeaux; and godparents Shelly Samuel, (Winston), of New Iberia and Alaray Robinson and Greg Robinson both of Thibodeaux.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Johnson; paternal grandfather, Arthur P. Robinson Sr.; one sister Jacqueline Robinson; one brother Arthur Robinson Jr.; maternal great-grandparents, Joan Anthony and Joseph Davis; and paternal great-grandparents, Shelby and Annie Robinson.

Active pallbearers will be Nathaniel Samuel, JaVonte Etienne, Gequane Robinson and Terrione Robinson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nasire Londo, Akhy Vasquez, Trezion Robinson and Ja’sai Southall.
