Mystic Krewe de Fou celebrates its 20th anniversary, featuring “Amazing Enchanted China.”

An ancient mysterious and beautiful land is always appealing to adventurous foreign visitors. East Asia has a vast landscape which encompasses grasslands. Desert, mountains, rivers, lakes, an more. Its capital Benijig mixes modern architecture with historic sites such as the forbidden city palace and Tiananmen Square. A wide variety of terrain and climate shape its numerous natural attractions. Aboundant in a variety of resources, plants, animals and minerals the land has nurtured countless generations of Chinese people. China is proud of her long history, culture and distinctive customs.

Reigning over the Mystic Krewe de Fou of Iberia Bal Masque XX, his Majesty Emperor Zhu Youlang, Anthony Leger, and Empress Xiao Gang Kuang, Patrica Leger, of the Ming Dynasty.

Accompanying the Emperor Zhu Youlang and Empress Xiao Gang Kuang are the Royal pages of Mystic Krewe de Fou of Iberia Carlie Boudreaux daughter of David and Monique Boudreaux, Carter Broussard son of Quincy and Kim Broussard, Brady Jole Gideon son of Alison LeBoeuf, Anaka Kree Leger, Elayne Elizabeth Leger and Keryth Ian Leger children of Curtis and Miranda Leger, Hudson Kip Pierret and Corey Joseph Pierret Jr. children of Corey Sr. and Heather Pierret, Huxley Alexander Resweber son of Sunni Nichols and the late Eugene Resweber IV, Karrigan Elizabeth Andrea Rouly and Kaleb Andre Rouly children of Karl and Ellie Rouly, Addy Sonnier and Conner Sonnier children of Joe and Tessa Sonnier.

Captains James and Paula Dautreuil Arceneaux opened the Bal Masque XX with the traditional blowing of the whistle.

The Royal Court of Emperor Zhu Youlang and Empress Xiao Gang Kuang of Mystic Krewe de Fou of Iberia are, Dean and Yvonne Broussard represented the Yellow Mountains, Quincy and Kim Broussard represented the Pearl Shoal Waterfalls, Darrin and Marcia Etie represented the Zhongshan Park, Branden and Alyssa Leger represented the Five Flower Lake, Nathan And Monique Leger representing the Longjli Rice Terraze.

This year Mystic Krewe de Fou proudly recognizes the 2018 Goodwill Ambassador Mr. Johnny Bourque and 2018 Queen Mother’s Mrs. Faye Gary Fontenot and Mrs. Willa Mae Touchet Anderson.

Mystic Krewe de Fou announced its 2018 Young Ambassadors Lucas Joseph Broussard, Noah Castille, Mason Ignace Etie, Victoria Angelle Leger, Graham Joseph Nunnelee, Emily Catherine Thompson.

Krewe members and guest honored 19 years of Royalty including Curt and Patty Fontenot, Kern and Corleen Rouly, the late Haywood Bonin Sr. and Margaret Bonin, the late John Reaux and Mary Reaux, Don and Anita Lantier, Donald and Stephanie Comeaux, Mike and Allison Flash, Kirk and Roxie Castile, Douglas and Clora Darcy, James and Paula Arceneaux, Larry and Melanie Romero, Orien and Suzette Menard, George “Dickie” and Nell Gautier, Karl and Ellie Rouly, Dennis and Vicky Pellerin, the late Warren Barras and Nancy Barras, Hayward Jr. and Nancy Bonin, Robert and Tabithia Lemay.
