JEANERETTE — Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church located on St. Nicholas Street with Fr. William “Bill” Ruskoski officiating the funeral mass.
Visitation will be held beginning on Friday, December 28, 2018, at 5 p.m. until closing at 9 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018, until the time of service.
Cheryl Guiberteau Landry, age 73, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 1:24 p.m. at Lafayette General Hospital. Cheryl G. Landry was born to Lloyd and Josephine Leblanc Guiberteau Sr., on December 5, 1945.
Cheryl enjoyed cross stitching, reading, going to the movies, country music and dancing. Most of all Cheryl loved talking about her grandchildren more than anything.
Cheryl was a long-time employee of Frist National Bank of Jeanerette. She was well loved by the people she worked and those she served.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 53 Years Charles V. Landry Sr. of Broussard; her three children Nina L. Delcambre and husband, Kevin, of Duson, Amie L. Varnado and husband, Tim, of Youngsville and Charles V. Landry Jr and wife, Sunday, of Broussard; brother Lloyd Guiberteau Jr.; and sisters Mary “Cindy” Muffoletto and Lisa Maggard; ten grandchildren Lanzi Meyers and husband, Taj, Kori Delcambre, Kera Varnado, Alyssa Phillips and husband, Kein, Julia D. Wade and husband, Dyaln, Macy Landry, Matthew Delcambre, Ashlyn Landry, Mason Varnado and Ryleigh Delcambre; four great-grandchildren Ava Leonard, Kaisley Phillips, Jack Meyers and Kylon Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Josephine Leblanc Guiberteau.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Delcambre, Mason Varnado, Matthew Delcambre, Lloyd Guiberteau Jr., Tim Varnado, Taj Meyers, Dylan Wade and Kein Phillips.
Serving as honorary pallbearer will be O’neil LeBlanc.
