Jacob Paul Hubbard
Funeral services celebrating the life of Jacob Paul Hubbard was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum where he was laid to rest.
A gathering of family and friends was held prior to the service at Evangeline Funeral Home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2:30 pm.
Jacob was born August 3, 1979 in New Iberia to John R. Hubbard and Arlean Prince Hubbard, and passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
Jacob has been a machinist for 20 years and worked most recently with Tuttie’s Machine Shop, and with Frederick Machine Shop prior. Outside of his work, he enjoyed playing pool and was a member of the APA. He shot in many tournaments at Emerald Billiards in New Iberia and received many awards for his play. Jacob was also a collector of sports memorabilia and had a large collection of cards. Most important to Jacob was his sons, fiancée and family.
Being a father was his greatest accomplishment and he cherished the time spent with his sons. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Rest easy Jacob. We love you.
Survivors include his sons, Ashlee Mac Hubbard and Owen Michael Hubbard; his mother and father, Arlean Prince Hubbard and John R. Hubbard; his grandmothers, Barbara Mitchell Hubbard and Gloria Johnson; and his fiancée, Sheryl Bayard.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Clyde Ernest Hubbard and James Lee Prince.
Serving as pallbearers are Ashlee Hubbard, Owen Michael Hubbard, Brody Bouton, Tony Dore’, Tommy Dupre’, Ross Boutte and CJ Niesser.
