A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Scott Michael Ward, 38, who died as a result of a car accident on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday. Rev. Keith Landry will be the officiant. Entombment will follow at a later date.

A lifelong area resident, Scott Michael Ward was born on February 28, 1979. He worked as an electrician for Anadarko and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, son and friend, and he will be deeply missed.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Danielle Rene Ward; daughters Shilynn Elizabeth Ward and Ashlynn Rene Ward, all of New Iberia; father, Michael Ward and fiancee Sharon Kolb of Franklin; mother, Dawn Flores and husband, Rick, of Lafayette; brother Jason Ward and wife, Megean, of Abbeville; sisters Katie Frilot and husband, Gerald, of Lafayette and Jessica Darby and husband, Michael, of Lafayette; maternal grandmother, Marion Talbot of Baldwin; brother-in-law Skyler Thibodaux and wife, Mandy, of Lake Charles; nephews Bailey Ward, Evan Frilot, Jayden Darby, Triston Thibodaux and Tyler Thibodaux; godson Kameron Ward; niece Sydney Frilot; aunts and uncles Clint and Tracy Talbot, Carolyn and Bobby Moneymaker, Lance and Aggie Talbot, Roxanne and Kevin Theriot, Cherish Menard and Linda Lucia.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Brooksie Ward; paternal grandmother, Clarice “Dee” Ward; maternal grandfather, Earl “Wooger” Talbot; mother-in-law Sharon Thibodaux; and an uncle Simon Lucia.
