Morel — Latiolais

Jenna Elizabeth Morel and Kevin Jacob Latiolais were married Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William “Craig” Morel Sr. of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Mrs. Maxine Latiolais of Loreauville and the late Harvey Latiolais.

The Rev. Bill Melancon officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a fit and flare satin gown with a sweetheart neckline topped with a soft white lace, high neckline, cap sleeve topper with a pearl embellished sash at her waistline. The backline flowed into a deep V-shape with cascading covered buttons the length of the chapel train.

For her headpiece, she wore a floor length veil handstitched with French Alencon lace.

She carried a bouquet of white garden and tea roses, anemones, freesia, wax flowers and seeded eucalyptus.

Serving as maid of honor was Taylor DeGroat. Bridesmaids were Karleigh Sigur, Eryn Morel, sister-in-law of the bride, Katelyn Sarkies, Riley Migues and Megan Dugas. Flower girls were Lily Morel and Camille Morel, nieces of the bride.

Serving as best man was Kenneth “Chip” Smith. Groomsmen were Luke Romero, Bart Latiolais, Devon Trahan, Blake Bourgeois and Nick Bourgeois.

Craig Morel Jr., brother of the bride, Nicholas Segura and David “Trey” DeGroat III served as ushers.

A reception for family and friends was held at Maison de Tours in St. Martinville.

Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in St. Martinville.
