Arrest made in a Jan. 10 home invasion in Delcambre

A suspect wanted on multiple charges related to a home invasion case earlier this year  is in jail after being arrested Monday afternoon following an investigation by the Delcambre Police Department.

A warrant was issued for Tori Nicole Stelly, who was a suspect in a Jan. 10, 2018, home invasion and armed robbery of an 84-year-old Delcambre resident. Stelly’s charges include armed robbery, aggravated burglary, crimes against the elderly, and false imprisonment old.

The Lafayette City Marshal’s office found Stelly at a residence in St. Martin Parish. The marshals made the arrest, took her to the St. Martin Parish Jail and later took her to Lafayette Parish, where a hold has been placed for the Delcambre Police Department.

Stelly was scheduled to be booked by the Delcambre Police Department and taken to Vermilion Parish Jail. Her bond was set at $150,000.  

The Delcambre Police Department thanked Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Lafayette City Marshal Service for their assistance in the investigation and also thanked all the residents who called in with tips and information during the seven-month investigation.
