Plethora of Promotions Set for Saturday’s Football Game
LAFAYETTE, La. – Fans are encouraged to take part in the myriad of promotions at Louisiana’s football game against Arkansas State on Saturday.
Partnering with Louisiana Salutes, the game is UL’s military appreciation game where the Ragin’ Cajuns will honor the military. Veterans can get up to four tickets for free with a valid ID through VetTix.
As part of the of the Cajuns Cares initiative presented by Dudley DeBosier, fans can enter to win custom corn hole boards and exclusive camo sideline hoodie worn by the team by writing a letter thanking an active service member pregame through Operation Hat Trick at the Lady of Lourdes Health Family Tailgate at Russo Park.
Additionally, Louisiana will honor the University’s Student Veterans Organization with a recognition and a special game ball for Gordon Eatley, who served three tours of duty in Vietnam and Iraq.
Any active or retired service members can send in pictures to be featured on the videoboard in-game at geauxcajuns@louisiana.edu.
The first 6,000 fans at the gates will receive a black rally towel with a breast cancer awareness logo, a clear bag and a seat cushion courtesy of Saturday’s game sponsor, Our Lady of Lourdes Health.
