Cajuns on Da Geaux Food Truck is serving the community of St. Martinville.
The food truck is owned and operated by partners Marian Bienvenu and Corey Landry.
Their food truck is located at 1111 North Main St. in St. Martinville, and is open Monday, Tuesday and Friday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m.; Wed and Thursday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 5:30 p.m.
The two worked together on the truck. Landry works in sales for Revak Keene Turbomachinery while Bienvenu runs the food truck.
Bienvenu and Landry are both local to St. Martinville. They opened the food truck in 2023 after they closed their restaurant Kajun King. Their goal with the food truck was to make food the way they want. The truck provides them an easier path to do that.
Cajuns on Da Geaux Food Truck serves a wide variety of menu items. From several different burgers, Cajun presses, wraps, deep fried wraps, dinners, smash burgers , shrimp, chicken, seasonal items like étouffée and gumbos and a weekly soup, it’s a joint effort from the two.
“Corey is an amazing chef and as I cook in the truck, he cooks the specialty items, including soups, gumbo and étouffée,” Bienvenu said.
As its current location, Cajuns on Da Geaux Food Truck doesn’t just serve up good food. They are also serving a great atmosphere, allowing them to have a place that is all their own.
“We have outdoor seating, we don’t have plans to move around but maybe in the near future,” Bienvenu said. “ We would like to try a festival one day.”
This atmosphere of their truck, the food and the services allows Bienvenu and Landry to bring to their hometown, and they are excited to continue to do so.
We love this community and the people here, we grew up here,” Bienvenu said.
