Power Baseball 9AA, a first-year team in New Iberia, turned in a fantastic stretch run of 22-3-1 (including 10 come-from-behind wins) that included championship victories in the Governor’s Games in Baton Rouge and the Louisiana State Tournament, which they won by going undefeated at 7-0. The team, ranked second in the state and fifth in the nation in USSSA points after playing eight tournaments, qualified for the recent USSSA Global World Series in Gulf Shores, Ala.
