Moreau — Carlson

Brittni Ann Moreau and Timothy David Carlson were married at an evening ceremony on Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette. The Rev. Steve LeBlanc officiated the nuptial Mass.

The bride is the daughter of Rachelle and Kyle Moreau of Youngsville. The groom is the son of Marna and David Carlson of New Iberia.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a silk chiffon gown in a fitted sheath silhouette. The gown was adorned with gold embroidered lace and beading, featuring a ruched silk chiffon empire waistline with a hand-beaded rhinestone encrusted brooch at its center. The back of the gown featured crystal buttons and a chapel train finished with a hand-beaded crystal brooch. She also wore a fingertip beaded-edge veil. She carried a bouquet of lily of the valley, gloriosa and nerine lily, garden roses and hydrangeas, hand wrapped with her great-great grandmothers lace handkerchief.

Serving as maid of honor was Lani Moreau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amber LeBlanc, Maisie LeBlanc, Courtney LeBlanc and Katie Stanfield, cousins of the bride, Lauren Boyles, Megan Robbins and Carol Gondron.

The best man was Skye Vergenal. Groomsmen were Ty Moreau, brother of the bride, Nicholas Stanfield, cousin of the bride, Marc Allen, John Blanchard, Brandon LaBarge, Jon Sorrel and Reggie Theriot.

Ushers were Devon Bardash, Jake Draughon and Kirk Kappel.

Mary Claire and Bennett Doughton, cousins of the groom, served as flower girl and ring bearer.

Others serving in the wedding party were Amy Carlson, sister of the groom, Alaina Hebert, Ryan Ardoin, Heather Hebert, Heather Stoffer, Brodey, Hunter, Kade, Madisyn, Karlie and Tyler Moreau, cousins of the bride.

After a wedding trip to the Caribbean Island of Antigua, the couple will reside in Maurice.
