Amber Spivey, daughter of Yvonne Romero and Bobby Spivey of New Iberia has been selected as a finalist in the Pre-teen Louisiana Scholarship and Recognition Program to be held June 21-23 at Hilton Hotel in Lafayette.

Pre-teen Louisiana is a by-invitation only Scholarship and Recognition event involving girls 7 to 12 years of age based on their school academic records, awards and honors won and their participation in outside activities.

Pre-teen Louisiana will award more than $5,000 in educational bonds, prizes and awards.
