Scholarships awarded by sheriff

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert announces that Zachary Thomas Aucoin has been named as the recipient of an academic scholarship from the Louisiana Sheriff’s Scholarship Program for the 2012-2013 school year. Zachary, a Morgan City resident, is the son of Leonard Jeffery Aucoin. Zachary plans to attend Tulane where he will study in the field of finance. Annabell Picard of Frankliln Senior High and Cayde Mosley of Morgan City High School were named as alternates so that in the event the recipient is unable to take advantage of the scholarship award, the alternate (first and/or second) can do so.

Qualities such as academic achievement, leadership, and character are considered in making selections of Sheriff’s Scholarship recipients. scholarships are awarded in all 63 parishes throughout the state.
