Sesame Seared Tuna with a Ginger and Soy Aioli

Sesame tuna
1/2 pound fresh gulf ahi tuna

2 teaspoons Kosher salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 cup black sesame seeds
2 tablespoons good quality sesame oil
1 loaf French bread
1/4 cup ginger soy aioli
Trending
Heat the oil in a non-stick skillet. Season tuna on all sides with the salt and pepper and coat with the sesame seeds. Sear the tuna on all sides to desired doneness, let cool down in refrigerator.
Slice French bread into desired shapes and toast slightly and set aside. Slice the tuna into quarter inch slices and lay on top of the toasted bread, top with ginger soy aioli sauce and garnish with cilantro. Serves 8 people.
Ginger Soy Aioli
1 teaspoon fine chopped fresh ginger root
1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/3 cup mayonnaise
Mix all ingredients together.
