New Iberia

Spring has arrived and everyone is welcomed to tour some of New Iberia and St. Martinville’s most beautiful gardens during Les Jardins Des Fleurs, sponsored by the New Iberia Garden Club. This annual event is New Iberia Garden Club’s largest fundraiser and provides visitors an exclusive opportunity to learn more about private gardens in the area. They’re treated to a colorful display of blooming flowers and lush, cultivated landscapes at the peak of Louisiana’s springtime colors.

The tour is Sunday, April 26 from 2-4 p.m. Tickets are available for $5 and may be purchased in advance from any New Iberia Garden Club member. You may also purchase a ticket on the day of the event, Sunday, at any stop along the tour.

You may take the tour in any order; however, the tour ends with refreshments at Landscape Ranch, 1300 E. Main St. in New Iberia. In the event of rain the tour will be rescheduled for Sunday, May 3. Proceeds from the tour fund a number of projects benefitting the community and visitors, and help to support the mission of the New Iberia Garden Club.

The 28th Avec Souci Garden Tour

The 28th Avec Souci Garden Tour, Les Beau Jardins will be held Sunday, May 3 from 1 – 5 p.m. Advance tickets are $15 and day-of-show tickets $20. Tickets can be purchased from any Avec Souci member, or at Albertson’s on Johnston Street and in Broussard, All Season’s Nursery and Landscape, Champagne’s Market, The Garden Center on Pinhook, and Greenscapes. In the event of rain the tour will be rescheduled for Wednesday, May 6 from 3-7 p.m. All proceeds from the tour will benefit local charities.
