The IPC also will begin the process of approving millage for the next fiscal year. The rates currently set on the agenda are the same as last year, and Landry said council members will discuss if changes should be made at the meeting.
A public meeting to adopt the ordinances levying the millages is set for May 9.
In other business, the council is set to make several appointments for various boards and commissions.
Those include Ivy Romero, Kerry Romero and Toni Gonsoulin for Iberia Fire District No. 1, John Simmons for the Iberia Parish Mosquito Abatement District, Jude Hebert for the Iberia Parish Regional Planning Commission, Patricia Rinehart for the Acadiana Fairgrounds Commission and John Cobbs for the Jeanerette Veterans Memorial Building No. 2 Board.
A resolution allowing an additional 1.5 percent salary increase for the 2018 Iberia Parish Drug Court Fund Budget also will be decided. The funds already are available in the budget, according to the agenda, and the resolution will be amended to authorize the additional salary increase only.
A resolution providing $30,000 in funding for repairs to the Hangar 90 ramp at the Acadiana Regional Airport will be voted on as well. The vote also consists of carrying over $60,368 and $15,948 for a tractor and a flex wing cutter, respectively.
