Budget on agenda for St. Martinville

ST. MARTINVILLE — The St. Martinville City Council will vote to approve budget to actual expenses at tonight’s regular meeting.
The budget will reflect city finances as of Sept. 1.

The council also will consider and vote on the approval of a contract with Cleco Wholesale Electrical Power Supply.
A presentation will be heard on the Enterprise Vehicle Lease program.
Steven Menard will address the council about the Unite the Community to Stop Violence program.
Menda Batiste with Notre Dame Sisters in Christ will request the approval of escort by fire truck, dance school and St. Martinville Senior High band for Santa’s arrival to the annual Christmas party on Dec. 1.
Batiste also will speak about a Red Light Drive event.
Luke Bradley with the Main Street Association will ask the council to consider adopting an international building code for the historic district only.

St. Martinville Police Chief Ricky Martin will discuss the employment status of Chase Guidry.
The meeting takes place 6 p.m. tonight at St. Martinville City Hall.
