Catholic High head football coach Brent Indest announced Wednesday that the Panthers Division III first round playoff game against St. Thomas Aquinas set for Friday at CHS has been moved to New Iberia Senior High.

The game will still be played at 7 p.m. and the admission is $8.

Indest said that the game was moved due to the expected heavy at times rains over the next couple of days and a near 100 percent chance of rain Friday.

In other playoff games involving Teche Area teams, St. Martinville will play host to Franklinton in Class 4A; Westgate travels to Plaquemine High in Class 4A; Erath travels to Lake Charles to face Lake Charles College Prep in Class 3A; Franklin travels to Red River and West St. Mary travels to Welsh in Class 2A; Centerville heads to District 7-A rival Gueydan in Class A and in Division IV, Hanson travels to Donaldsonville to face Ascension Catholic.

All games are set for Friday at 7 p.m.
