2nd Annual Summit Registration
Louisiana Entertainment, A Division of Louisiana Economic Development will present its 2nd annual Louisiana Entertainment Summit March 27 providing opportunities to network and engage with entertainment industry professionals, local businesses, content creators, regional and local allies from across the state.
Building on the previous years’ success, participants will learn how the entertainment industry impacts the state of Louisiana and how these enhanced programs have produced opportunities for independent filmmakers, video game developers and much more. This year, the Summit will provide a glimpse into the future for the entertainment industry in Louisiana.

Following last year’s event, where Governor John Bel Edwards was a speaker, several trips have been made to the West Coast to discuss the industry with professionals. Edwards and Stelly as well as others in state and local governments have been actively looking into growing the industry from within the state, not just bringing in outsiders.
Part of the Louisiana tax incentives package now in place at the LouisianaEntertainment.gov website is a notice for potential filmmakers coming into the state. They are asked to partner with education providers to help build the state’s crew and talent pool as a way to enhance the stainability of the industry. Anyone interested in seeing the industry grow from the inside should attend both of these events.
