LSU sets spring football schedule

BATON ROUGE — LSU’s spring football schedule has been set.

The Tigers will start practice for spring football on Thursday, March 7, and will close things out with the annual National L Club Spring Game on Saturday, April 6. The annual spring game inside Tiger Stadium will kickoff at 1 p.m.

Between March 7 and April 6, LSU will have a total of 14 practices before the spring game. The practices will take place on Tuesdays (four times), Thursdays (five times), and Saturdays (five times). The Tigers  also will have one practice on Friday, April 5, the day before the spring game.

LSU also announced it will hold its Pro Day on Friday, March 22, and the LSU Coaches Clinic on March 28 and 29. 

LSU returns a total of 16 starters (eight offense, eight defense) from the 2018 squad that posted a 10-3 overall record and defeated UCF in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl. LSU opens the 2019 season on Aug. 31 when they welcome Georgia Southern to Tiger Stadium.
