Iberia Parish Rabies and Animal Control is participating in three upcoming events with the goal of adopting out some of its dogs.
On Saturday at Girard Park in Lafayette, IPAC is bringing eight of its best canines to Bark in the Park. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“We will be joining 10 other shelter/rescues across Louisiana to make Bark in the Park a mega-adoption event,” IPAC manager Amanda Istre said.
All groups attending Bark in the Park will bring adoptable dogs and puppies. IPAC’s adoption fees are $35. Fees are waived for military personnel, first responders and citizens 60+.
“We’ll have dogs and puppies for you to meet, love on, and adopt,” Istre said.
IPAC will also be at Spring Shopping on Da Bayou at Bouligny Plaza from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 29. The event includes over 80 vendors from south Louisiana. There will be food, face painting, live music and bunny pics.
The fun doesn’t stop there. On April 5 beginning at 11:30 a.m, Adopted Dog Brewing and Krewe des Chien will host a brunch fundraiser at 329 Dulles Drive in Lafayette.
Adopted Dog Brewing is a locally owned brewpub offering more than a dozen craft beers brewed on site. Owned by realtor Ryan Pecot, Adopted Dog Brewing is a family-friendly venue that always invites patrons to bring their pets. The establishment celebrated its second anniversary in February.
