LSU tight end Foster Moreau warms up prior to this year’s Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.

LSU’s Foster Moreau and Devin White turned heads this weekend.

First up was Moreau, who ran a 4.66-second 40-yard dash and did 22 bench press reps at 225 pounds at the NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Friday and Saturday.

Moreau’s 40 time was the fifth fastest among the tight ends who ran the drill. The 22 reps on the bench press was tied for the second most among the group, trailing only West Virginia’s Trevon Wesco, who recorded 24 reps.

The 6-foot-4, 253-pound Moreau also performed well in the other drills.

The former Tiger’s 36.5 inches in the vertical jump was tied for third best, his 121.0 inches in the broad jump was fourth best, the 7.16 seconds needed in the three cone drill was tied for seventh best, his 4.11 seconds in the 20-yard shuttle was the best time and his 11.81 seconds in the 60-yard shuttle was fourth best.

The former Jesuit High star hauled in only 22 receptionsfor 272 yards and two touchdowns at LSU this past season as Moreau was forced to block more due to the Tigers’ offensive line troubles.

Moreau, though, began to turn heads during practice for the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile in January. Jim Nagy, executive director of Reese’s Senior Bowl and an 18-year NFL scout, named Moreau as one of his Offensive Practice Players of the Week. Moreau also made a leaping grab behind Miami defensive back Sheldrick Redwine in practice, and the video of said grab went viral. Moreau caught one pass for 11 yards in the actual Senior Bowl game.

White, meanwhile, was the star of the workouts on Sunday.

The Dick Butkus Award winner and All-American inside linebacker posted the fastest 40-yard dash time by any linebacker as he ran 4.42 seconds. That is faster 40-yard dash than former LSU stars Leonard Fournette (4.51), Tyrann Mathieu (4.50), Derrius Guice (4.49) and Odell Beckham Jr. (4.43).

White’s 39.5 inches in the vertical jump was the second best among linebackers.

The 6-foot, 237-pound White, who is projected as first-round pick, also recorded 22 reps on the bench press, 118 inches in the broad jump, 7.07 seconds in the three cone drill, and 4.17 seconds in the 20-yard shuttle.

Moreau and White are one of six Tigers at the NFL Combine.

Running back Nick Brossette completed his drills on Friday, running a 4.72 40-yard dash, recording 15 reps on the bench press, leaping 35.5 inches in vertical jump and 118.0 inches in broad jump, running 7.38 seconds in three cone drill and 4.44 seconds in 20-yard shuttle.

LSU defensive backs John Battle and Greedy Williams are scheduled to take part on Monday.
