St. Martinville City Council to address capital outlay priority list

ST. MARTINVILLE — The St. Martinville City Council will be discussing the administration’s 2021-2022 capital outlay priority list at its meeting Monday night as well as the proposed budget for the city’s use of American Rescue Plan Act funds.
In a related move, the council will consider granting CAO Avis Gutekunst corporate authorization to open an accounts payable checking account at Community First Bank.

St. Martinville Police Chief Ricky Martin is slated to discuss the appointment of Deputy Chief Cody Laperouse to clarify his job duties and position.
Mayor Melinda Mitchell has also requested the council consider trading in her city-provided vehicle, which she chose to use rather than having the city reimburse her for the use of her own vehicle.
The St. Martinville City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday evening in the city council meeting room of City Hall, 120 New Market St., St. Martinville.
At its regular meeting Monday night, the St. Martinville City Council is also scheduled to:
- Proclaim October 2021 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month
- Update the city’s severe weather policy.
- Update the city’s work-related accident policy.
- Discuss a personnel matter involving Dwayne Anthony (possible executive session).
