Sohm completes recruit training

Tyler Sohm, who enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in New Iberia, completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., and graduated Jan. 4, 2013.

During recruit training, Sohm learned military customs and courtesies, first aid and a variety of military related subjects designed to create the moral and discipline required of all Marines.

Sohm, son of Shannon Sohm and Terrance Sohm of New Iberia, was enlisted by SSgt. Michael Skolasky from Recruiting Substation New Iberia.
