Robertson receives Army promotion

Lt. Colonel Geri L. Robertson, a New Iberia native, has been recognized recently for being selected to Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army as Medical Service Corp officer.
Her promotion has earned her the distinction of being selected as the first black female senior officer to serve as chief of the Patient Administration Branch, Army Medical Department Center and School, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Robertson is the daughter of Walter and Leona Robertson of New Iberia. She is a 1987 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. Robertson is an alumni of Louisiana State University-Shreveport, Louisiana Tech University and Wayland Baptist University.
Robertson’s over 20 years of exemplary service in the military, coupled with a myriad of positions as a patient/healthcare administrator groomed her for this distinguish selection.She has served as the chief PAB, Robertson serves as the proponent for the development and implementation of all formal Patient Administration Offices and Enlisted technicians training programs for the U.S. Army. She is responsible for the education programs within the school which graduates Patient/Health Care Administration Officers and enlisted technicians for Active, Reserve and National Guard units.
