The council agreed to move the meeting forward a week so it did not conflict with the Christmas holiday, which falls on Tuesday.
Because of the short cycle between last week’s meeting and this one, the agenda for tonight will be fairly light. The council will officially receive the bid tabulations for work at the former Dutch Gosnell Manufacturing building, and is expected to renew its fiscal agent agreement with IberiaBank for the 2019 year.
Council members also are scheduled to hear from Khadijah Rashad regarding the racial makeup of the parish’s employees. New Iberia Police Department Capt. John Babin also will address the council regarding internet scams.
The Iberia Parish Council meets at 6 p.m. in the council meeting room on the fourth floor of the Iberia Parish Courthouse, 300 Iberia St.
