Second Arrest Made in Iberia Parish Man’s Killing

A second arrest has been made by the U.S. Marshal’s Task force involving the killing of 19-year-old Terrell Marshaun Fountenette of Iberia Parish on April 13.

Broussard Police Capt. Zac Gerard reports that Rico Gabriel, 41, of St. Martinville was arrested Thursday and booked into Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for second-degree murder of Fountenette.

On April 14, Dazjhalun Charles, 24, of Jeanerette was first arrested for the killing of Fountenette. Charles was also charged with second-degree murder.

On April 13, authorities were dispatched to the Exxon Gas Station at 1505 Bonin Road in Broussard on a report of gunshots. Responding police officers were directed to a vehicle in the parking lot where a Fontenette was found dead with a gunshot wound.
